Description
Pendlebury Hall is a large red brick building constructed between 1880 and 1882, designed by architect J W Beaumont. Originally known as Pendlebury Memorial Hall and Orphanage, it is situated on an excellent site. The building features a central tower topped with cupolas and has ashlar dressings. The front elevation includes an oriel window with a carved stone base above the central doorway, which is adorned with mark terminals and carved spandrels. Flanking the central section are two-storey sections with four windows, featuring both four and six lights. The ground floor showcases five-sided bays with stone mullions and transoms. Access is provided by a flight of steps leading to a double door, and the building is topped with a slate roof.
