Description

The sundial located to the east of the Church of St. Mary is a Grade II listed structure, originally a medieval cross shaft. It is made of stone and features a copper dial and gnomon. The sundial has a large, shaped monolithic base that includes a square housing for the shaft. The square shaft has chamfered corners that taper towards the bottom, and it is topped with an ornate gnomon.
