Description

The aqueduct over Green Lane on the Peak Forest Canal was built between 1794 and 1801, designed by engineers Benjamin Outram and Thomas Brown. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a semi-elliptical arch that is covered by 20th-century render. The retaining and parapet walls have a segmental plan, with the west side having been partly repaired using concrete block. A stone band and rounded coping are present on the parapet.
