Description
Albert Bridge is a road bridge over the River Irwell, built in 1844 by G W Buck. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and designed in a classical style. The bridge features a single span with a segmental arch, voussoirs, pilaster terminals, and a moulded stringcourse beneath each parapet. Each parapet has a raised panel at its center, and cast-iron lamps are positioned on top of the parapets.
