Description

The jetty steps outside The Packet House were originally used for boarding the packet boat service that started in 1769. They were likely built around that time or shortly thereafter. Made of stone, the steps consist of nine long steps that curve at one end. Notably, these steps were used by Queen Victoria during her visit to Worsley in 1851.
