Description

This house, at one time the police house, dates to 1851. It is timber-framed with a graduated stone slate roof, and has a T-shaped plan with three bays, two storeys, and a two-storey porch to the right return. The gabled porch, situated between bays one and two, features an enriched bargeboard and a finial. A three-light diamond timber mullion and transom window is present to the right, and a similar window, though altered, is to the left. A gabled dormer is located in bay two. Bay three projects as a crosswing, with a four-light mullion window on each floor, and a transom on the ground floor. A 17th-century style two-storey porch is on the right, featuring a jettied first floor supported by scroll brackets. Gables are visible to the rear of bays one and two. A clustered brick chimney stack is also a feature.
