Description
The Former Kersal Bar Toll House is an early 19th-century building that was originally used as a toll house and later as a shop, but is now disused. It features a stucco exterior over brick with a slate roof that has been felted over, and a stack located on the right side. The building is single-storey with an octagonal single-unit plan and an additional rectangular bay on the right. The entrance is on the left, and there are windows in the gable facing the street and to the right; both have been replaced but still retain their original drop-ended hoodmoulds. This toll house is likely the only surviving example in the Manchester and Salford area. The interior has not been inspected.
