Description
Far Hey Head and No. 2 Far Hey Head, along with the adjoining barn, are two houses and a barn dating from the late 18th century and 19th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a slate roof. Each house has one bay and three storeys, with the barn adjoining on the left. The houses have two four-light windows on the ground floor, five and six-light windows on the first floor, and four three-light workshop windows on the top floor. Most windows have flat-faced mullions, some of which are 20th-century replacements. There is a lean-to addition on the front left with a graduated stone slate roof and kneelers, as well as a small wing on the right gable. At the rear, there is another lean-to addition, possibly a loom workshop, which includes seven and six-light mullion windows. The central ridge features a chimney stack, and the left gable is rendered. The barn has quoins and a blocked round-headed cart entry.
