Description
Nos. 11 and 12 is a house that has been converted into two houses. It is a 17th-century timber-framed structure that was partly rebuilt in stone during the 17th century, featuring an English garden wall bond projecting gabled crosswing to the right (No. 12). The main range is constructed of brick on a stone plinth, with stone quoins and windows that likely date from the 19th century, complete with stone lintels and sills. Two of the windows are tripartite sashes. The door is located next to the crosswing, which was enlarged in the late 18th century and has 19th and 20th-century window openings on the right return. The left gable displays a raised brick corbel band, diamond patterns, and an owl hole. There are also 19th and 20th-century additions to the rear. The building features two brick chimney stacks. Remnants of the earlier timber-framed construction include a crosswall between the main range and the crosswing, a cambered tie-beam roof truss with inclined struts, wattle and daub infill, and an ovolo-moulded floor beam.
