Description

No. 45 on Platt Lane is a late 18th-century house built from hammer-dressed watershot stone and topped with a graduated stone slate roof. This single-depth, L-shaped house has three storeys and features quoins. The front elevation has two storeys, with a dressed door to the right, a lean-to on the left, and a two-light window on the first floor. There is a similar door on the gable end. At the rear, there are two three-light windows on the ground floor, a five-light window on the first floor (with two mullions removed), and a six-light window on the second floor (with one light blocked). All windows have recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The house is included for its group value.
