Description
Boothstead is a house located on the south side of Huddersfield Road in Denshaw, dating back to 1724, as indicated by the name "TSES 1724" on a relocated door lintel. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. It has a two-unit gable-entrance plan and stands two storeys high, with quoins at the corners. The ground floor includes three and four-light windows, while the first floor has two three-light windows, all featuring double-chamfered cavetto-moulded stone mullions. There is a later door on the left gable, and the right gable has been largely rebuilt, with a dated lintel inserted into a 20th-century porch. Additionally, there are 20th-century window openings at the rear, and the interior has undergone significant alterations.
