Description
Brimmy Croft Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1770, marked by the initials "JMAM" for John and Alice Milnes on the datestone. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a two-bay layout, and there is a two-bay addition to the right, along with a rear wing and outshut. The farmhouse has quoins and two 6-light recessed cavetto-moulded stone mullion windows on each floor. The central datestone is carved and has a small moulded hood above it. The right addition includes a square-cut door surround and various window openings from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is a blocked door on the left gable. The rear wing, which also has quoins, was extended in the 20th century and features partly obscured 2 and 3-light windows similar to those on the main building.
