Description
Nos. 7 and 8 Wall Hill are two houses built in the late 18th century, constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone with a graduated stone slate roof. Each house features one bay and two storeys, with the barn projecting to the rear of No. 7. No. 7 has a ground floor window with two lights and another with five lights (the former has had its mullion removed), along with a six-light window on the first floor. All windows have recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The house has a gable chimney stack and a gable entrance. No. 8, which is slightly later in construction, adjoins to the right and features a door with a square-cut surround and a 19th-century window to the right. It has a three-light recessed flat-faced mullion window on the first floor, a gable chimney stack, a rendered gable end, and two-light gable windows. The barn at the rear includes stables on the lower level and a two-light window in the gable end. Inside, there is a cantilevered stone staircase and a vaulted cellar.
