Description
Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 8 Pingot are a group of four houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and originally featured an asphalted graduated stone slate roof, although No. 1 has been replaced with 20th-century tiles. The building has a total of four bays and two storeys. Nos. 1 and 2 were originally one house and have a central door with an architrave and flat hood, which is now located at No. 2, while the door at No. 1 was added later. Nos. 3 and 8 were once back-to-back cottages and have square-cut door surrounds. Each floor has a total of four windows; two of these have four lights, while the others have three, all featuring recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The houses have an eaves cornice and three ridge chimney stacks. There are small 20th-century additions to the left and rear, and the left gable includes a taking-in door at first floor level. The rear displays similar window arrangements.
