Description

Nos. 2 and 3 Mark Lane are two houses dating from the late 18th century. They are built from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a 20th-century tile roof. The buildings have a total of two bays and two storeys, with a wing at the rear. The central door has a dressed stone surround, while a second door surround inserted into the right-hand window suggests that these houses were originally a single dwelling. Each floor has two windows, which are mostly 4 or 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows, with some retaining their original multi-pane casements.
