Description
New Bank is an early 19th-century house located on Crompton Oldham Road. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a slate roof. The building has a double-depth central-staircase plan, consisting of five bays and two storeys, with later additions at the rear. The entrance includes a panelled door topped by a radial fanlight, which is framed by an open pediment supported by three-quarter columns. There are four windows on the ground floor and five on the first floor, all with stone sills, 12-pane sash designs, and a keystone above the central first-floor window. The house also has an eaves cornice and gable chimney stacks.
