Description

Sunny Bank is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with stone dressings, topped by a graduated stone slate roof, and features a rendered right gable. The house has a double-depth single-bay design with two storeys and an attic, along with a 20th-century lean-to garage on the right and a lean-to at the rear. The front door is located to the left and has a dressed surround with a four-pane overlight above it. There are five and six-light flat-faced stone mullion windows, which are also found on the gable and the rear of the house. A gable chimney stack is present. This building is an early example of brick construction in an area that was predominantly stone at the time.
