Description
Nos. 133-145 on Lane Head Road is a terrace of eight houses, now reduced to seven, likely built in at least two phases during the late 18th century. The houses at Nos. 133-141 on the left may include Nos. 133 and 135, which are possibly later additions or were more extensively altered in the 19th century. The buildings are constructed from roughly coursed and squared stone with Welsh slate roofs and are two storeys high, each featuring a single-unit plan with doorways located to the right (one doorway is blocked due to the amalgamation of two units). Nos. 137-141 have four- and five-light square cut stone mullioned windows on each floor, with plain stone lintels above the doorways. Nos. 133 and 135 have taller two-light square cut mullioned windows. The three houses to the right represent a separate phase of construction, likely also from the early 18th century. These are also two storeys high and each has a single-unit plan, with gabled porches on the left-hand houses. Their mullioned windows have three and four lights, with square cut mullions. Stone end wall stacks are present throughout the terrace.
