Description
No. 285 on Greenacres Road is a house, likely originally a row of cottages, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble in small blocks and features a stone flagged roof that has been sealed over. The building has brick stacks at the end walls and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The current doorway is located to the right of the centre, with two additional doorways at the outer ends that are now blocked. The main door is set within a stone architrave and is flanked by three and four light plain chamfered mullioned windows on each floor. The outer doorways were likely added later, suggesting that the house may have been subdivided at some point, with one doorway now serving as a window.
