Description
Nos. 6, 7, and 8 Dale Lane are three houses built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a total of seven bays and two storeys. The first three bays have a parallel range at the rear and a 20th-century garage attached to the gable. The central door, which has a square-cut surround, is flanked by four-light windows, with additional windows above in configurations of four, three, and four lights. The fourth to sixth bays are the oldest part of the structure, while the seventh bay was added later on the right. The windows throughout are generally three, four, and five lights, all with recessed flat-faced stone mullions. The doors have dressed and square-cut surrounds, and the door in bay six includes a 20th-century porch. There are also small 20th-century extensions at the rear, and the ridge features chimney stacks, some of which are rendered.
