Description

Cobden's Statue is a commemorative statue of Richard Cobden, an industrialist and Liberal politician, located in St Ann's Square, Manchester. It was created in 1867 by the sculptor Marshall Wood. The statue features a stone plinth and a bronze statue of Cobden, who is depicted in an oratorical pose. The base is square and slightly tapered, topped with a prominent cornice.
