Hotel, now public house and shop. Mid to later C19; altered. Red brick with sandstone quoins and dressings (roof concealed). Rectangular plan on corner site. Three storeys over cellars; No.95 five bays, symmetrical, with plinth, sill-bands, bracketed cornice, and parapet. The ground floor has a central round-headed doorway with Ionic pilastered stone surround and modillion cornice, altered doors and plain fanlight; and elliptical-headed windows with panelled aprons, set-in shafts, moulded heads and recessed altered glazing. The upper floors have 4-pane sashed windows, those at 1st floor elliptical-headed and linked by an impost band and those at 2nd floor square-headed, including tripartite windows in the centre. No.97 to the right has a doorway to the right and fenestration matching that of No.95 but with all glazing altered. The left return wall of No.95 is similar to the front, with a doorway in the centre.
