SD 70 SE PHILIPS PARK 9/168 Philips Park Conservatory 15.8.66

GV II

Built shortly after 1800 by Philips family. Ashlar. Front mainly consists of 5 large vertical windows with glazing bars, the centre one slightly advanced under pediment. Projecting moulded eaves. Glazed roof includes circular lantern. Interior has semi- circular recess to rear and contains 2 marble sculptured portrait groups of the Misses Philips when children, one dated '1866' on pedestal, the other, C1862, stands at floor level.
