Description
No. 71 Bradshawgate is a shop built around 1840. It features a brick exterior that has been painted at the street front and is topped with a slate roof. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window range. The ground floor showcases a late 19th-century shop front, which includes ornate panelled pilasters and moulded brackets supporting a fascia with painted glass lettering. The window has stained and leaded upper lights, and there is a recessed doorway to the left. To the right of the shop front, there is an archway leading to a rear courtyard. Above the ground floor, each of the three storeys has four-pane sash windows, which are adorned with flat arched brick heads and painted stone sills. The end wall features a stack. Inside, the shop retains late 19th-century fittings, including counters and shelving.
