Description

The Hulton Memorial is located in St Mary's churchyard in Deane, Bolton. This memorial, built in the mid to late 19th century, honors members of the Hulton family. It is made of stone and features inscribed slate memorial tablets. The structure has an octagonal plinth raised on steps, with moulded panels that include recessed slates, and an embattled parapet beneath the moulded base of the octagonal tapering shaft, which is topped by a cross. The memorial specifically commemorates Emma Louise Hulton, who died in 1841, as well as other family members who passed away in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
