Description
Henton War Memorial is a limestone structure featuring a Latin cross atop a tapered column, which is set on a hexagonal plinth. The plinth bears the inscription: "THE STONE WAS ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF HENTON WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918/ (NAMES)/ THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOR EVERMORE."
The memorial is placed on a three-stepped base and is located in a small paved area that is enclosed by iron railings. Additionally, there is a separate inscription panel attached to the base that commemorates those who fell in the Second World War.
