Description

Barclays Bank, located at Nos 78 and 80 on Bridge Street, is a three-storey building dating from around 1900. It is designed in a picturesque half-timbered style and features three gables facing Bridge Street. The building has a canted corner where the entrance is flanked by intricately carved barley-sugar columns. Notable architectural details include Gothic window tracery with elaborate patterns, extensive carved woodwork, carved bargeboards, and small-paned windows with wooden mullions.
