Description
The Midland Bank, located at Nos 11 and 13 Bridge Street, is an early 20th-century building constructed from stone and standing three storeys tall. It features a large round-arched entrance with a moulded arch and carved spandrels, flanked by narrow windows. Above the ground floor, there is a modillioned cornice. The first floor is designed with a window arrangement of 1, 3, 1, with the central three windows adorned with a curving iron balcony and a pediment. The top of the building is crowned with an open pediment that includes modillions. To the right, there is an extra narrow bay with one narrow window on each floor. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 11, 13, 39 to 45 (odd), The Lion Hotel, and Nos 2, 4, 8 to 14 (even), as well as Nos 16, 18, 20, and 22-24.
