Description
Holly House is a late Georgian house built in 1790, located on Sankey Street, opposite Nos 84 and 86. It is currently used as offices. The building is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with gable ends that have upswept parapets, along with a front parapet and a stone eaves cornice. It stands two storeys tall and has a central six-panel door flanked by three-quarter fluted Roman Doric columns and pilasters. Above the door is a frieze and a semi-circular fanlight with an intricate fret design, all set within a semi-circular opening. The ground floor has two sash windows, while the upper floor has three, all featuring glazing bars, flat brick heads, and stone sills. The house is set back from the street at an angle, with its former garden area now largely developed.
