Description

Nos 25, 27, and 29 Stanley Street are a group of mid-to-late 18th century buildings, now offices, that have been well-restored. They are constructed of brick above a stone base, featuring long and short quoins and two horizontal bands of stone detailing. The buildings are three storeys high, with slate roofs; No 29 has a hipped roof. The windows are largely sash windows, with glazing bars. No 25 has a six-panel door, a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars, and a restored wooden door surround with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. No 27 features a six-panel door recessed within a segmental-headed stone surround, with a segmental fanlight containing glazing bars. The elevation facing Wilson Patten Street at No 29 is finished with cement. The buildings are set within a private cobbled yard, formerly Stanley Street, and have gardens in front.
