Description

Stretton Hall is a hall dating to 1664, with a 19th-century restoration and extension, part of which was completed in 1879. The original 17th-century oak frame is encased in brick nogging, while the later walls are constructed of brown brick. The chimneys are also of 19th-century brick, and the roofs are now covered in modern stone-slates. The front of the hall, of two storeys and four window bays, features a two-storey porch centrally located, with projecting gables to each side. The oak framing incorporates small rectangular panels and chevron-framed gables with 19th-century shaped bargeboards. The mullioned windows have restored leaded glazing. The oak boarded front door and the lower part of the framed porch have been renewed. A beam above the window of the porch displays the date 1664.
