Description
The Farmhouse at Great Shepcroft Farm is a farmhouse built in 1731, which has been altered and extended at the rear and to the left. It features pebbledashed brick and a grey slate roof with flush pebbledashed gable chimneys. The building is 2½ storeys high and has two windows, with bands at the first floor and eaves. There is a central blocked door that is topped by a stone featuring a carved White Rose and the inscription "George Eaton of the Pole 1731," suggesting a connection to the de la Pole family. The front windows are likely from the 19th century and have inset casements, while the attic windows in the gables are blocked. Inside, there are chamfered oak beams, and one of the upstairs doors is made of broad boards on H hinges.
