Description
Daintith's Farmhouse, including the former dairy wing, is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time. It is constructed of squared rubble red sandstone, featuring an oak-framed east gable and likely 18th-century brick extensions to the south and east, topped with graded grey slate roofs and brick chimneys. The name "Daintith" is carved at first floor level on the east gable. The building is two storeys high and has an irregular plan. The east gable has plain flush bevelled-mullion windows, while the west gable and north wing have recessed bevelled mullions set in birdsmouthed bevelled surrounds. The windows in the stone walls are leaded, and those in the brick walls are wood casements, some of which have mock leading. There is a 20th-century gabled timber-framed porch on the south side. The interior has been significantly altered. Attached to the farmhouse is a two-storey former dairy made of brick on a stone plinth, also with a graded grey slate roof.
