Description
The former barn at Stretton House, built in 1769, has been converted into a garage for historic vehicles. It is constructed of brown brick and features a gabled brown tile roof. At the rear, there is a large central doorway with a segmental relieving arch above the lintel, and a similar-sized doorway that has been blocked off on the opposite side. The barn includes six-pane timber casements and a circular pitch-hole in the right gable. Below this, on the left, is a datestone that reads "O (Oakley) RM 1769." The left gable wall also has small recessed crosses in the brickwork. Additionally, there are three recent vehicular doorways in the rear wall that are in keeping with the building's character. The barn is listed for its group value only.
