Description

Hale Head Lighthouse is a disused small lighthouse located on top of a cliff at Hale Head. It was built in the early 20th century and features circular tapering brickwork that has been whitened, topped with a metal roof. The entrance door is made of metal and has a semi-circular arch above it. There is a single window in the Keeper's Room. The light chamber includes a metal plate riser and a riveted hemispherical roof with a weather vane. Additionally, there is an external catwalk with a flag pole. The lighthouse now forms part of a residential property associated with a modern bungalow built near its base.
