Description
The Norton Arms Public House is a public house dating from 1758, as indicated above the entrance. It features rough cast brickwork and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall with an attic. The main building has three bays, while there is a two-storey, two-bay wing with a basement to the north. The structure includes a stone moulded plinth and rusticated quoins. The entrance is framed by a stone doorcase with plain pilasters, moulded caps, and an archivolt with a key. Access to the entrance is via old stone steps. Above the entrance, there is an arched tablet that fills the blank space on the first floor. The facade has casement windows with keystones above the arches, while the north wing features sash windows with glazing bars. Gable end chimney stacks complete the building's profile.
