Description

Davenham Farmhouse is a late 18th-century (early 19th-century) brick farmhouse built in red Flemish bond with a slate roof. The entrance front has a stone plinth and a wooden modillion cornice. The symmetrical three-bay facade features a classical door surround with fluted pilasters, dosserets, and triglyphs, topped by an open pediment containing a fanlight. The door is six-panelled, with flush lower panels and raised and fielded upper panels, and has similar panels to the doorcase reveals. The ground floor has four-by-four sash windows on either side of the door, and the first floor has three similar windows, all with stone sills and wedge lintels; the ground floor windows are boarded over.
