Description

The Oddfellows Arms is a public house, likely originally a house, dating from the late 18th century in Davenham. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high. The front has a rendered plinth and vitrified brick headers. Three bays are arranged symmetrically. The central doorway has half columns on either side and a cornice above, with a basket-arched fanlight over the door. To either side of the doorway are late 19th or early 20th century windows with plate glass in the lower section and two lights above. On the first floor are three sash windows, each with 3 panes over 4, stone sills and wedge lintels. The building is listed for group value with the Bull’s Head Public House and the Church of England Primary School.
