Description
The Cottage north of Green Paddocks is a rectangular building dating from before 1815, as noted in a rent book. It is constructed of brick and features a grey slate gabled roof with two rectangular brick chimneys. The cottage has wide boxed eaves and verges. The front showcases good small cast iron Gothick casements, while the rear has cast iron casements with small rectangular panes. A late 19th-century four-panel door with an ornate brass knocker adds to its character. The cottage is two storeys high and originally had two windows, along with a one-bay shippon that includes a hayloft above on the right.
