Description
Park House, formerly known as Garden Cottage, and Ivy Cottage, were built in 1887 by Douglas and Fordham for the 1st Duke of Westminster. The buildings are constructed of brown brick with blue diapering on a slightly jettied upper storey supported by a corbelled brick string. They feature red tile roofs with plain end gables and have five chimneys with separated spiral flues made of moulded brick, along with one rectangular chimney. The structure is two storeys tall, with the house having three bays and the cottage one bay, designed in an asymmetrical Jacobean style. The windows are iron casements, although the leaded glazing has been removed, set in openings of moulded brick with shaped mullions. The door to the house is framed and boarded, with half glazing, while the cottage door is also framed and boarded. The interiors have not been inspected.
