Description

The sundial and pier, likely from the 18th century, are located west of the south porch of the Church of St John the Baptist in Aldford. The sundial features a copper dial mounted on a red sandstone pier. The square pier has a short, tapered, stop-chamfered stem that sits on a square base consisting of two steps.
