Description

The sundial in the churchyard of St Alban's Church is a 18th-century baluster with a plate dated 1822, made of buff sandstone ashlar. It is supported by two square steps and features a fluted bulbous baluster, which has a base adorned with acanthus leaves and an egg and dart frieze. The square head of the sundial holds a square plate that reads "Joseph Cheers, Thomas Boot, CW" and was restored in the 20th century.
