Description
Darnhall Bridge is a road bridge built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from red sandstone ashlar and features arrowhead rustication. The bridge has a single span with sides that are canted forward. It includes a central basket arch with recessed voussoirs and a hood mould that is flush with the rest of the wall. Below the level of the parapet, there is a band, and the parapet itself is made of large ashlar blocks with slightly projecting chamfered coping. The bridge has end piers on both the right and left sides.
