Description
This farmbuilding, which includes an office and stable/shippon, is attached to the northeast corner of Barrow Hall. It was built in the early to mid-19th century, with a late 19th-century outshut. The structure features an ashlar sandstone ground storey and a washed brick upper storey, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It has a two-storey, five-bay south front, accented by a brick dentil cornice. The windows are a mix of casements, some of which still have glazing bars. There are three doorways with stone lintels, and a central upper window located in a gabled half dormer. At the rear, there is a brick outshut and a raised water tank with brick castellations. Inside, there are late 19th-century stable stalls made of wood and iron that remain intact.
