Description
The gates, overthrow, and gate piers to the churchyard of St Bartholomew consist of one pier dated 1775 and the others dated 1908. They are made of red sandstone, while the gates are wrought steel. The plain piers are rectangular in shape and feature domed caps. The left pier is inscribed with "IP, IT CW 1775," and the right pier has "HLS, WS, CW 1908." The semi-circular overthrow supports a now electric glazed lantern topped with a cross. The gates include a lock bar with a circular panel and decorative scroll work above, along with dog bars beneath. This structure is listed for its group value only.
