Description
The Old Shipgate is an arch from the former Shipgate in the City Wall of Chester, located near the Bridgegate. This medieval structure dates back to the 13th century and is made of red sandstone. The arch features simple jambs, minimal wing walls, and basic voussoirs that form a round arch.
