Description
Grove Cottage is a small house that has been converted into a café and dwelling. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick, now covered in roughcast, with a gabled grey slate roof. The building is two storeys tall and has a double-fronted design. The entrance features a six-panel door, with the upper four panels now glazed, set in a simple panelled case that includes a frieze and hood. There is a one-storey, hip-roofed canted bay window on each side of the doorway, which were likely added later. Each bay window has a 12-pane sash at the front, with an 8-pane sash on each oblique face of the left bay. The right bay has had the glazing bars removed from its oblique sides. On the first floor, there are three flush 12-pane sashes, along with a small frieze and eaves cornice. The building also features two flush gable chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
