Description

A row of three town houses dating from around 1840. The houses are built of orange brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a grey slate hipped roof. They are three storeys high and have a largely symmetrical appearance. Each house has a four-panel door with a simple overlight, set within a painted stone or artificial stone surround featuring cornices on elaborately decorated brackets. The ground floor features recessed sash windows with painted stone sills and wedge lintels. A sillband runs across the first floor, above which are pairs of recessed four-pane sashes with wide flat mullions and wedge lintels. Another sillband marks the second floor, above which are pairs of shorter four-pane sashes. There are two chimneys located before and two behind the ridge of the roof, plus two on the right end. The interior of the properties has not been inspected. The buildings demonstrate group value due to their cohesive design and contribution to the streetscape.
