Description

The Stud Riding School, built around 1880, is primarily a single-storey structure with a timber frame set on a tall sandstone base. It features red tile roofs with gables, and a half-hipped roof on the right side. A prominent gabled cross feature is located to the right of the center, which is two storeys high and includes a hayloft beneath a jettied gable above the entrance. The entrance door is shaped oak and is accompanied by a two-light mullioned fanlight above, along with two-light transomed wing lights on either side. The other windows are also mullioned and transomed in oak, fitted with small-pane iron casements, except for a small attic window above the hayloft and lights above the doorway, which are leaded. To the left, there is a carthouse that is part of the building, although its tile roof has been renewed. On the right, a stone-walled loose yard connects the riding school to the stud stables.
