Description
The Eaton Estate Office, originally built as The Laundry House in 1880 by Alfred Waterhouse, is a two-storey building constructed of red brick with stone dressings and half-timbered gables. It features red tile roofs and has a square plan that is enhanced by picturesque details, including many-gabled steep roofs and varied brick chimneys, one of which has a circular spiral moulded stack. The porch gable displays raised diaper brickwork. The windows are stone mullioned and transomed, with most retaining their original leaded glazing. There is a flat-roofed extension on the west side, likely added later, which has a stone balustraded brick parapet that forms a first-floor balcony. The interior has not been inspected.
